CL 35ARM LMV - trailer with tarpaulin

 

The trailer, designed by Clearmont Automotive, is intended for use in combination with military rough-terrain vehicles.

 

 

It consists of a steel basic frame, one axle, a drawbar, steel side plates and tarpaulin frame. Trailer wheels are located in the trailer loading area.

 

 

 

All modifications/versions of the trailer offered are characterized by the high flexibility reflecting requirements of the final user and by a robust chassis withstanding terrain overloadable rides. Special emphasis has been put on the used components and surface protective treatment with regards to operations under tighter climatic conditions.

OVERALL TRAILER CHARACTERSITICS

The motor-vehicle trailer, platform type, is intended for use in combination with military rough-terrain vehicles. The trailer passage through the hard terrain minimally restrains the towing vehicle driving performance. The trailer is characterized by a reinforced frame construction and increased endurance of the undercarriage parts.

 

The trailer towing coupler is exchangeable. It is possible to use the towing coupler for ball ISO 50, towing eye 40 mm or towing eye 76 mm NATO. The exchange is performed by means of the bolted connection.

 

 

The trailer is fitted with an overrun brake system and wheel brakes with backing automation. Its axle has a rigid construction and leaf-spring suspension. In case the trailer is parked, an easy manipulation is enabled by the supporting and turn wheel being mounted on the drawbar. Wheels used in the basic version can be replaced with wheels of the towing vehicle. The trailer is equipped with a spare wheel.

 

The platform superstructure consists of steel or aluminium side plates with a rear tilting panel. The floor is made out of water-resistant and anti-skid plywood. The cargo can be secured by fixing elements installed in the trailer floor. In the event of transporting or handling the trailer in a vertical direction (aircraft, train, ship, platform-type lorry), the external fixing lugs can be used. The tarpaulin is completely watertight and equipped with a circumferential cable that can be locked or provided with a customs seal. The whole tarpaulin frame can be easily removed.

 

 

 

 

The wiring system, applied lighting, circuit parts and cabling have been designed and installed in order to avoid electrical breakdowns and ensure resistance against water penetration. The trailer is equipped with a convoy lights. It is also fitted with a set of spare parts and basic tools for maintenance and small repairs. These parts and other accessories (binding straps, scotch blocks, etc.) are placed in two storage boxes located under the loading area.

 

The surface protective treatment consists in zinc-coating of the steel parts and subsequent painting in compliance with STANAG standards. The last finishing coat is always made upon an agreement with the final user.

 

Further, the trailer is supplied with operating instructions, delivery note and guarantee certificate. Common conditions for guarantee and commercial terms apply to all trailers.
